We want to report three great developments for churches and ministries in MENA. They are dreams come true for us. We are pleased to share these fruits with you.

1. NABLA accredits six founding member organizations in Egypt.

Join us in celebrating the first group of ministries to comply with the NABLA standards: Kasr Doubara Evangelical Church (الكنيسة الانجيلية بقصر الدوبارة), Life in Abundance – Egypt (الحياة الفياضة), Pastoral and Outreach Ministries Council (مجلس العمل الرعوي والكرازي), Souls Salvation Association – Assuit (جمعية خلاص النفوس اسيوط), Think and Do (فكر واعمل), Veritas College for Biblical Studies-Egypt (كلية فريتاس للدراسات الكتابية). If you know other ministries in Egypt, encourage them to apply for NABLA accreditation. Together we can build trust and grow local giving in Egypt by helping people follow God’s design for financial accountability, biblical fundraising, and Christian generosity.

2. Generous Church provided teaching and a tool translated into Arabic.

Patrick Johnson of Generous Church and Gary Hoag delivered practical and biblical teaching and led 40 people through three lessons of Overflow in Egypt in December 2019. Participants found Overflow to be an “enlightening and exciting but challenging" tool that they intend to use with small groups in their churches to help them "step out of self-centeredness" to live a "lifestyle of generosity." One pastor took 50 copies back to his church in the Delta region of Egypt to lead four small groups through it. Others plan to use the tool in Cairo, Alexandria, and Upper Egypt. Pray with us that the 2,000 copies GTP printed will transform lives as participants use them in churches across Egypt for God's glory.

3. GTP empowered twenty of God's workers in MENA to grow local giving.

GTP piloted this three-day experience to take the thinking from The Sower to deeper levels. Ereny and Gary started by listening to the dreams, passions, and challenges of small, medium, and large ministries. Then they taught the participants biblical thinking and helped them develop a practical plan for growing local giving. The response was incredible. The participants said they had never received teaching like this. Some, whose ministries were about to close, shared that they now have hope and help to continue. Ereny reports that the group will stay connected through a WhatsApp group to pray together, assist each other, and hold each other accountable. She will also provide ongoing coaching and training. GTP plans to reconvene the group in a year to have national workers help multiply the training to others. Pray that God blesses their efforts with much fruit.

Pray also for God to raise up workers in the other nations of the MENA region to catch a vision for building trust and forming faithful stewards to help churches and ministries flourish.
