November 27, 2024From Facebook Follower to Committed Country Coordinator and Course Moderator: Galilean Prayer Ministry and GTP
I have served Jesus Christ as a pastor at Galilean Prayer Ministry (GPM) since 2002. Galilean Prayer Ministry includes 20 adults and 23 youth and children. Aside from leading Galilean, I labor as Deputy General Secretary of the Atebubu Local Council of Churches, a partner with World Vision Ghana, and a volunteer with Westchester Cornerstone Church in the USA. I mobilize pastors and church workers, bringing them together for conferences and seminars.
I first encountered Global Trust Partners (GTP) on Facebook, where their meaningful content spoke directly to the needs of our church and community. Feeling inspired, I began engaging actively, following their updates and leaving comments. To deepen my involvement, I subscribed to Journal Entry and other GTP communications, like the EMPOWER newsletter, the Monthly Prayer Hour for Africa updates, and the Prayer Journal. One of my greatest blessings has been participating in Monthly Global Prayer Hour, where believers worldwide unite in a spirit of prayer and fellowship.
Through these connections, I learned about the GTP “100 Countries Campaign” and received the invitation to register my interest in volunteering as a country coordinator. I prayed and felt called by God to steward this service. So, I reached out, completed all steps, and took on this role with a commitment to advancing GTP’s programs in Ghana.
As my involvement grew, I enrolled in a GTP on demand course called Journey of Empowerment (JOE). This inspirational course revealed my true identity in Christ. Previously, I felt too small to matter and questioned my role in God’s Kingdom. But the course helped me understand God’s purpose for me. I know now that God values me, created me with purpose, and placed me in my country for a reason. I see that everyone and every community matters deeply to God.
That course transformed how I saw myself and others. I now recognize my strengths and weaknesses and feel both empowered and affirmed in my Christian faith. One lesson, “You Are Part of Something Bigger,” shifted my perspective and showed me that my purpose extends beyond myself. I play a vital role in building God’s Kingdom through sacrificial service for the joy and salvation of others.
In the past, I would quickly criticize the inactivity of others, but now I see how God calls each of us to make a difference in our communities. The confession stage brought me profound spiritual refreshment, and I discovered that when I choose God’s path together with others, we can amplify our impact for His Kingdom.
Today, I fully engage in my role at church, holding myself and others accountable to God’s work. Previously, I judged others harshly. Now, I encourage and support them in their faith. God has shown me that accountability is not about judgment but about strengthening each other in service. These represent just a few of the practical applications that have flowed from my JOE experience.
GTP also resourced me to share JOE onsite, I have begun replicating the course at Galilean Prayer Ministry, guiding church workers and members through the lessons. Many participants have shared how deeply blessed and empowered it makes them feel. For example, during the “You Matter” lesson, I saw renewed energy and inspiration in them, motivating them to take more active roles in their faith journeys.
I continue to encourage ministers and church workers to go through each of the GTP courses, as these biblically-grounded trainings strengthen us practically to live out our faith as Christians. By replicating GTP trainings, I aim to reach as many people as possible and help them transform their communities. I commit to training ministers and church workers across Ghana, knowing that each participant has the potential to make a lasting impact.
The joy of learning from others in the GTP global network has enriched me on my journey. Moderating the on demand JOE course with the GTP Training Team gave me the opportunity to continue learning from them. I appreciate the love and care they demonstrate, which reflects Christ's character. The flexible, interactive courses connect us with stewards worldwide, sharing insights and experiences. For anyone seeking a transformed life in Christ and a way to serve their communities, I wholeheartedly recommend these courses and urge you to join me in serving as a country coordinator for your people and as a course moderator for workers around the world.
